About School

Greetings from the Principal

Principal: Atsuo Yoneyama

Urawa International School was founded with the fundamental aim of "Providing education for people who are able to go-between nations". We now have a proud history of more than 20 years.
The main aim of our school curriculum is to prepare students for examinations and help them to move into the next stage of education, while learning Japanese. Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will give you the very best guidance for the JLPT and EJU.
In addition to regular lessons, we provide personal guidance for every single student, easing each student into the next stage of their lives after graduation. We also arrange extra activities and school excursions to learn more about Japanese culture, which we consider to be an important part of our curriculum.
At Urawa International School we have created an environment, where every student can grow and fully express their individuality.
While learning a new language, students can get to know a different culture, and with the knowledge and experience that they have gained at our school, go on to become successful and internationally-minded people. Most of all, we hope that more and more students will leave our school with a big smile on their face, recounting to all how much they enjoyed their time in at Urawa International School.

School features

Campuses in both Saitama and Tokyo!

Urawa International School has 2 campuses in Tokyo and Saitama, not only convenient locations for schooling, but also for finding part time work as well.

Small group lessons with experienced instructors!

All of our instructors are qualified native Japanese who have a deep understanding of language acquisition. Their methods have been built upon their own experiences of studying abroad.

Improve your Japanese by studying towards the JLPT and EJU with our personal guidance and support!

We will improve your Japanese ability, provide individual guidance for the JLPT and EJU, and help you to reach the university of your choice. Students whose attendance rate is 100% are highly commended, and the best students will be recommended to the Ministry of Education's Scholarship system.

All-round support and Japanese cultural activities!

Our teachers will not only improve your Japanese but also support your overall life in Japan. For a more enjoyable experience, and to provide a better understanding of Japan, we provide various opportunities to experience traditional Japanese cultural activities. With the generous support of local government, companies and residents, Urawa International School put together local activities to promote internationalization.
